Year 2 Dolphins - Planet protectors!
This term, Year 2 are becoming PLANET PROTECTORS! We are learning about the real dangers facing our planet at the moment, and how we can help as a school, as a community and at home with our families.
We focused on saving our seas by making people aware of plastic pollution. We wrote stories about sea animals trying to get rid of all the rubbish in their home, as well as making our own sea creatures out of reclaimed materials. Look at our amazing display!
We are now looking at reducing our food waste in school. We have given each classroom a brown recycling bin, and our food waste is collected and given as food scraps for pigs! The children have written letters to their parents explaining how as a family they can help to save the planet at home. We have also put our cooking skills to the test by making tasty vegetable pizzas. They were delicious!
Hopefully, we are on our way to achieving an 'Eco-Schools' award!
The Year 2 Christmas production was amazing! The children demonstrated courage and confidence to perform such a brilliant show - well done!

As part of our postman theme we were sent tickets to the Cotswold Farm Park! We had a brilliant day out feeding the lambs, playing in the park and petting the animals.
