- At Happy Hillers preschool we understand that each child is unique. We focus on the children's wellbeing and through positive interactions, our dedicated staff work hard to build strong relationships with the children and their families. We offer a safe space for all and operate an open door policy.
- We nurture the development of the skills required for a journey of lifelong learning and support the children to explore their environment and discover the tools within them to ignite their own passion for discovery.
- Creative learning is at the heart of everything we do. We offer fun experiences that support the holistic development of our children and engage them in meaningful activities that challenge them and build upon what they already know. We build strong foundations!
- The statutory requirements of the EYFS are woven into our curriculum. We support our children throughout their development of the 7 areas of learning, including the 3 prime areas of Communication & Language, PSED and Physical Development.
Our Preschool lead is Mrs C.Joyce, alongside preschool Teaching Partner Mrs T.Turner.

Exploring a Winter wonderland!
This term, the children will be stepping into a magical Winter Wonderland, using their senses to explore and investigate the world around them. They’ll have opportunities to feel icy textures, listen to the sounds of winter, look closely at seasonal changes, and discover how different environments can feel and behave during colder months.
The class will enjoy joining in with wintery songs and listening to new seasonal stories, helping them build language, rhythm, and imagination as they learn.
We’ll also be exploring different types of weather, from frost and snow to wind and rain. The children will watch simple weather reports to see how meteorologists predict the weather, encouraging curiosity about the world and introducing early scientific thinking.
It’s a term full of wonder, discovery, and sensory adventure—perfect for curious preschool explorers ready to embrace the magic of winter.
