Coney Hill Community Primary School

Happy Hillers Volunteers – PTFA

#ProudToBeAHiller

Our Happy Hiller Volunteers work closely with our school community to arrange events in school such as discos, cake sales, movie nights, leaver’s proms and the very popular Christmas Fayres and Summer event. The money raised from these events are donated back into school to contribute to whole school trips, buy essential resources and supplies for school. Our main aim from fundraising is to buy items for school that will benefit all children.

As Happy Hiller members we pride ourselves on the contribution we give to school not just financially but the amount of hours we spend volunteering in school. We help as additional adults on trips, come into school and listen to readers as well as help run all of the events.

We have built excellent relationships with key features of our community such as St Oswald’s Church and Coney Hill Rugby Football Club. We hold events like our Christmas Fayre, bingo and quiz events at these venues, as we believe involving all of our community is important.

Our Members:

We are made up of parents, teachers and friends of our school and local community.

We need your help!

We are always looking for parents to get involved and help with the PTFA, whether it be offering ideas, sponsorship or simply volunteering for an hour to help at an event. Some of the roles are time-consuming, although also rewarding. If you can’t commit to a big job, look out for things you can do less frequently like running a stall at the summer fair, baking for a cake sale or donating prizes for school competitions. Our group is very informal, friendly and great fun. Don’t worry - you won’t get roped into anything you don’t want to do. To get in touch, please speak to one the members or email hillerptfa@coneyhill.gloucs.sch.uk
