Welcome to the Coney Hill Primary School Alumni website page.
We are incredibly proud of our former pupils and their families, and we want to stay in touch - we would love to hear your stories!
Our aim, through our alumni page, is to engage, motivate and inspire new generations of Hiller pupils, in line with our ‘PREACH’ values and show them the possibilities that lie ahead.
Past pupils also have a huge wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise that it would be great to share with our current pupils.
Starting in September 2022, we reached out to past pupils as the first step in setting up a Hiller Alumni – continue reading to see what some of our past pupils have gone onto achieve, since leaving Coney Hill.
We hope to develop the Alumni group and it will be great to see where it takes us, over the coming years.

Past pupil fundraising for school.
This afternoon, this remarkable young man made a special appearance at celebration assembly to present us with his cheque of what he’s raised through his 100km challenge! Max has raised a whopping £3140.00 for school to be spent on resources and equipment to support the children’s mental health and well being! We are bursting with pride! Thank you SO much Max! What you have achieved will leave a legacy for all other children to benefit from!

"Hi, my name is Rahim, I started my education at Coney Hill Primary School in in 2008. It was really different compared to now. When I was younger, I always dreamt about working with cars or with a massive company in the future but didn’t know which route to follow.
My hobbies started off with buying little RC cars and making them faster. Now as I am older, I’m working on vehicles of my parents and upgrading them. Also, playing badminton on the side, and quite possibly, I am the best.
However, as I progressed on I learnt that it won’t be an easy route to follow but I still tried my best. Now I am in Year 13, specialising in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Hopefully by next year I will be working with the biggest manufactures such as Rolls Royce, Audi and Mercedes."
“My name is Jess, I left Coney Hill Primary School in 2018. I then went to Barnwood Park High School. I am now in year 11 about to do my GCSE’s (History, PE, Photography, Statistics, English, Maths and Science.)
Since leaving Coney Hill, I have continued to play the sports that I love including football and netball.
Recently I have been given the position of ‘Head Student’ at Barnwood Park High School which is a real privilege. In the future, I am hoping to study law at A-level and pursue a career as a Human Rights lawyer.”
“My name is Chrissy and I went to Coney Hill between 2009 and 2016. I have always wanted to be a dog handler in the police force. My old teacher at Coney Hill, Mr Hulse encouraged me and told me that I could do it. When it was time to do my GCSEs, COVID hit and I’m not going to lie, it did mess with my results and I didn’t do as well as I was predicted.
I went onto college to do a plumbing course and passed all of my exams but this wasn’t my dream so instead of going into employment I have signed up for another 2 year course at college for UPS (uniform protection services). I start in September 2022 and this is the path to gaining valuable lessons and experience so that I can become a police dog handler before my 21st birthday.”
“My name is Preston and I left Coney Hill Primary School in 2018. I am now 15 years old and at St Peter’s School and am about to go into Year 11 and sit my GCSEs.
Football has always been my passion and I started playing when I was 7 years old and I played for Longlevens. I played for the B team because I couldn’t even kick a ball but I was determined to get better. I played for the Coney Hill school team with coach Steve Hawkins, who I looked up to and admired.
I then started to play for a JPL league Gloucester City team and I also played on a Sunday too. I got invited to trial at Bristol Rovers Academy and I did a 6 week trial there. I wasn’t offered a place unfortunately, but I never gave up and a year later, I trialled for Forest Green Rovers Academy and I secured a year contract.
I’ve just come back from our pre-season tour with the under 18s. We went away for 18 days and travelled to Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Seville where we played against Spanish league teams and had an amazing experience! My advice is keep working hard, persevere and never give up on your dreams!”
“I’m Kenzie, my favourite lesson at Coney Hill School was literacy. I love to read. When I was little I hoped to work with animals. I have read lots of books about animals. At 14 I found out that I am deaf, I can hear some sounds but I find it hard to hear people’s voices. I listen to people by watching their mouths move, it’s called lip reading and the doctor thinks I have done this since I was quite small.
At seniors school I enjoyed History and Religious Studies, which I received an award for working really hard.
After leaving seniors school, I went to Hartpury College to learn about Animal Management. It’s a course where I learnt how to look after lots of different animals. I have really enjoyed my time at college and I passed my course with top marks, a Triple Distinction Star.
I am about to start University where I will be studying to become a Veterinary Nurse. That’s the name for an animal nurse. It’s like the nurses that look after people at the hospital. I will be a nurse, but for animals at an animal hospital.”
