Cyber First Computing Club

This is session 1 of our Cyber First Computing Club with Year 6 and our amazing digital leaders. In this session, the children explored programming a Micro:bit using the browser-based software Make Code. Make Code uses a block-based programming language, to display an image. Following this, the children explored the Python code that is behind the coding blocks, ready to explore more coding in Python next week!

Digital Leaders

At Coney Hill Community Primary School we are proud to announce the new role of Digital Leader. Our Digital Leader children are children who:

•           love technology and are good at using it with confidence.

•           are able to work independently and also in a team as a co-operative team player.

•           Can help others to learn new skills and improve existing ones.

•           Are enthusiastic.

•           Are patient.

•           Are honest, trustworthy and reliable.

Their role in our school, besides championing Computing of course, is to share their learning with other children and staff. They are our Computing ambassadors who not only share their ideas and can make suggestions towards the future of computing at our school but they also trial and evaluate new equipment in our school.

Committed to safety online
